Mint and merge pairs

Lock USDC for LONG and SHORT, and take it back.

Mint pairs

  1. Open the series in the Series tab.
  2. Under Mint pairs, enter a whole number of pairs.
  3. The app shows the cost: the band's width per pair, held as collateral, plus the mint fee.
  4. Choose Mint pairs and approve.

You receive one LONG and one SHORT per pair. You hold in the series panel shows your new balances once Solana finalizes the transaction.

The cost you see is sent as the transaction's ceiling. If the fee or band would make it cost more, the transaction does not go through.

Merge pairs

  1. Open the series. You hold shows your LONG and SHORT.
  2. Under Merge pairs, enter how many to merge, or choose Max for the most you can.
  3. Choose Merge pairs and approve.

Each merged pair returns the band's width in USDC, with no fee. Merging works before expiry and after settlement.

Keep one side

To hold only LONG or only SHORT, mint pairs and send the other side to whoever takes it. Both are ordinary Solana tokens. LONG can also go into a Ditto Spot vault, and next week's LONG can be sold to vaults in a roll auction.
