Recover a roll

Restart a vault's roll after a missed week.

If a vault's next series expires before its roll finishes, the vault shows Missed week, ready to recover. Its USDC is untouched, holders can withdraw at once, and anyone can recover the roll.

Steps

  1. Open the vault in the Ditto Spot tab.
  2. Under Recover the roll, choose Recover roll.
  3. Approve twice, back to back:
    1. Open a series centred on Pyth's price now, with the same width as the missed week's band, expiring on the next Friday at 20:00 UTC.
    2. Recover: point the vault at that series and start a new auction.

The new series must open at exactly the price it is centred on, so the app reads Pyth's price, opens the series on that same signed price, and recovers while it is still fresh: within the price age in Parameters. Approve both promptly.

Afterwards

The vault runs a normal roll auction on the new series. If the band centred on today's price would reach below zero, the vault cannot recover, and holders withdraw their USDC.
