Getting started
Quick start
Connect a wallet, pick a series and mint your first pair.
1. Connect a wallet
Open the app and choose Connect wallet. Ditto lists every Solana wallet installed in your browser that supports Wallet Standard, such as Phantom, Solflare and Backpack. The first time you act, the app asks you to sign in: your wallet signs a short message, which costs nothing and moves nothing.
2. Hold USDC and a little SOL
Pairs are paid for in USDC. Solana network fees are paid in SOL: a few thousandths of a SOL covers an action. Opening and settling a series also post Pyth's signed price to Solana, which takes a few small transactions in one approval.
3. Pick a series
The Series tab lists every series with its band drawn as a string: L on the left, H on the right and the live Pyth price as the red bridge between them. Choose one to see what a pair costs and what each side is worth now.
If the price you want has no series this week, choose Open a series. Any of Pyth's feeds can open one. See Open a series.
4. Mint pairs
Enter how many pairs you want. The app shows the exact cost before you approve: the band's width per pair, held as collateral, plus the mint fee. One approval in your wallet sends the transaction; the app follows it until Solana finalizes it.
5. Hold, merge or redeem
- Before expiry, merge one LONG and one SHORT at any time to take back the band's width in USDC.
- After Friday 20:00 UTC the series settles on Pyth's first price at or after the expiry.
- Then redeem each side for the amount it pays. See Settle and redeem.
A pair is always worth exactly the band's width. Your exposure to the price is the side you keep: hold LONG to gain as the price rises inside the band, hold SHORT to gain as it falls. Both are ordinary Solana tokens you can send to any wallet.
